Tim is a Principal of Paul R. Ried Financial Group, LLC. In his role as Chief Financial Advisor, Tim advises clients in all phases of the pre- and post-retirement process. This begins with gaining a clear understanding of a client’s goals and then developing a well-designed income, investment, and estate strategy to achieve those goals most effectively. “We then follow up with regular meetings to report on performance and make adjustments to effectively carry out our plan,” said Tim. He particularly enjoys the personal one-on-one relationships with clients. He is passionate about delivering clear, well thought out, advice that will add true value to a client’s retirement years.

Tim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as well as an Investment Adviser Representative (IAR) with Cetera Advisor Networks LLC. He has held an insurance license since 1993. Tim was named as the 2006 Financial Advisor of the Year in the Pacific Northwest Region. He graduated from Westmont College with a BA degree in business and economics. He went on to receive his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College for Financial Planning®. He has been helping corporate employees, managers, and executives plan for a secure retirement for over 20 years.

Prior to joining Paul R. Ried Financial Group, LLC, Tim helped develop corporate retirement plans for Investors Retirement and Management Corporation (IRM) in Santa Barbara, CA. In this capacity, Tim worked with 401k corporate clients in structuring retirement plans to meet the needs of each corporation and their participant base. He gained valuable experience in understanding the many strategies that relate to 401k plans and Individual Retirement Accounts as well as understanding the importance of providing a great customer experience.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys sports and was a GSAC All-conference and NAIA All-American shortstop in college. He enjoys the outdoors and is involved in many charitable endeavors. He and his family have traveled to Africa with their personal and financial involvement in supporting The Treasures of Africa Children’s Home which provides a home and education to 26 orphaned children in Tanzania, Africa.
