President / CEO

Paul is the Founder and President / CEO of Paul R. Ried Financial Group, LLC. In this role, he provides leadership to the firm as well as advises clients in the planning process. Paul is passionate about helping clients achieve and maintain an enjoyable retirement through a team centered service-based collaborate approach. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Investment Adviser Representative (IAR) with Cetera Advisor Networks LLC. Paul holds registrations in securities and insurance licenses. He has been advising corporate employees, managers, and executives in all aspects of retirement planning and wealth management for over thirty years.

“Education has always been a core value of our firm,” said Paul, “Instruction delivered in a clear, easy to understand concise fashion is the key to enable individuals to make sound financial decisions.” Paul has conducted financial planning seminars for various corporate organizations for over twenty-years. As a Boeing off-hour training instructor, he has taught over 450 seminars and classes to more than 12,000 Boeing employees companywide on such topics as the Boeing VIP, Retirement and Investment Planning, Mutual Funds, Insurance Strategies and Estate Planning. Paul has been recognized by national, industry, and local publications, including Barron's and Forbes (please see our Recognitions page for full details). Paul is an Eagle Scout and was selected to represent the Boy Scouts of America in 1973 in its Report to the Nation, meeting President Nixon in the Oval Office.

Prior to forming Paul R. Ried Financial Group, LLC, Paul held corporate positions in business planning, accounting and international business at PACCAR and The Boeing Company. Paul graduated with honors from the University of Puget Sound with a BA degree in business and communications. Paul went on to earn top honors as an MBA graduate in international business from The George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Paul and his wife, Linda, are native to Seattle and reside in Bellevue. They enjoy spending time with their family including their son and daughter in law as well as their daughter, son in law and three grandkids. They support a variety of charitable efforts and enjoy outdoor activities including boating, skiing, and spending time with their dog, Harry.
